The Ophthalmology Department caters to all eye and vision related problems. We do regular eye
check-ups for adults, children and infants. Our routine services include vision and slit lamp
examinations, intraocular pressure measurements using an Aplanation tonometer, and
retinal or fundus examinations. Refraction and spectacle prescribing are routinely done and
spectacle orders undertaken. Other doctors refer patients/babies for screening of diabetes
and hypertensive retinopathy and ROP (Retinopathy of prematurity). Minor eye surgical procedures are done including cataract extractions with intraocular lens implantation and trabeculectomies. Community outreach clinics for eye health are also held monthly in needy areas on the city.
