Our community program is led by Dr Shantini and Dr Priya, who along with the community health team workers go out to minister in two Urban Slum areas at Doddegunta (near Cox Town) and Lingarajpuram, twice a week on Monday and Thursday afternoon.
A medical camp is conducted there and about 30 patients are treated every visit. Many of the patients are diabetic and receive their regular medication here.
Basic lab investigations are done for them. Those needing specialized treatment are referred to the Main Hospital where their treatment is subsidized.
